gia ita“Human Rights In The Streets” nasce dall’entusiasmo dei giovani attivisti per i diritti umani di Palermo; è un cine-festival  su diritti umani e nonviolenza che mira a coinvolgere i partecipanti nella realizzazione di un documentario sulla reale situazione nel nostro contesto locale in merito ai diritti umani.

I giovani da pubblico partecipante andranno ad elaborare e creare  poi un video-documentario sulla situazione in merito ai diritti umani per le strade di Palermo entrando in contatto con le comunità locali, autoctone ed immigrate; il documentario verrà incrementato con le risorse a disposizione della Human Rigths Youth Organization e di tutti gli operatori in merito ai diritti umani che lavorano a Palermo trattando le problematiche della immigrazione clandestina e del problema della ghettizzazione dei quartieri svantaggiati.

Esso nasce dalla necessità di motivare i giovani alle problematiche sui diritti umani a livello locale e di riflesso a porre essi come attori responsabili  della vita sociale tramite metodi innovativi di indagine legati alle nuove tecnologie e ai nuovi mezzi di comunicazione come il cinema e internet.

Il progetto mira ad essere la prima di tante edizioni al fine di valutare di anno in anno lo sviluppo della situazione reale del nostro contesto locale in merito al rispetto dei diritti umani. Successivamente verrà proposto tale progetto come iniziativa trans-nazionale al fine di valutare la realtà in merito ai diritti umani anche in tutti gli altri paesi membri e aderenti al programma gioventù in azione.

Obiettivi:

  • Dare visibilità ad una situazione di fatto che per varie ragioni non viene alla luce essendoci sul nostro territorio una cultura dell’omertà dove è preferibile non rivelare la verità;
  • Conoscere  e riconoscere i Diritti Umani come valori fondamentali di ogni società;
  • Rilevare le situazioni di esclusione sociale e porre in essere idee progettuali per futuri interventi;
  • Sollecitare i giovani ad intraprendere percorsi alternativi di conoscenza,
  • Sviluppare capacità e voglia di analisi in merito al proprio territorio;
  • Sviluppare la cittadinanza attiva tramite metodi di indagine giornalistica;
  • Creare un video-documento di analisi territoriale sulla problematica dell’esclusione sociale,
  • Avviare un percorso di indagine che possa essere proposto ogni anno,
  • Coinvolgere le amministrazioni locali;
  • Sviluppare il rapporto di collaborazione della Human Rights Youth Organization con tutti gli organismi ed associazioni operanti nel settore dei diritti umani e della legalità nel territorio palermitano.
