Immigrazione: le realtà siciliane incontrano l’Europa.

In occasione della due giorni “Civil society Days 2016”: Living Together in Our Europe”, promossa dal Comitato Economico e Sociale Europeo, che si terrà a Bruxelles i prossimi 31 maggio ed 1 giugno, l’associazione Human Rights Youth Organization e le realtà siciliane Al Rèves, Moltivolti e La Casa di tutte le genti, saranno presenti come attori protagonisti del workshop  “Interculturalism: a New resource for Europe – a project involving migrants in social enterprises in Sicily”.

Il workshop, promosso dall’associazione H.R.Y.O. in collaborazione con il C.E.S.E. (Comitato Economico e Sociale Europeo) e con il sostegno della Fondazione CON IL SUD,  si svolgerà a Bruxelles, il 31 Maggio alle ore 17:30 presso i locali del C.E.S.E.

 

I Civil Society Days sono il simbolo di apertura delle istituzioni europee nei confronti della società civile organizzata.  L’edizione di quest’anno sarà incentrata sull’immigrazione e su come l’Europa possa aprirsi maggiormente e adattarsi ad un cambiamento strutturale della sua società. La tematica, essendo molto vicina alle criticità (ed opportunità) del capoluogo siciliano, giustifica ed esalta la presenza all’evento di queste cinque realtà palermitane che quotidianamente lavorano sul concetto di inclusione degli immigrati attraverso progetti di natura socio economica. Tutte le quattro realtà, infatti, sono vere e proprie imprese sociali, che fanno dell’inclusione fra immigranti e autoctoni il loro punto di forza, rispondendo con successo alla necessità di cambiamento ed adeguamento economico.

H.R.Y.O., Al Rèves, Moltivolti e La Casa di tutte le genti presenteranno al pubblico le loro esperienze di integrazione sul lavoro per scambiare buone prassi sul tema maturate in anni di esperienza. L’incontro sarà anche occasione per analizzare i progetti che, col tempo, hanno portato queste realtà a consolidarsi e fare dello scambio fra culture un punto di forza del loro modus operandi.

L’iniziativa sarà anche, e soprattutto, un modo per elaborare, in un contesto di respiro Comunitario, strategie sostenibili nel lungo termine partendo dall’esempio italiano, e nello specifico da quello della Sicilia che oggi, come da secoli, è centro del Mediterraneo e primo baluardo d’Europa in termini di accoglienza e integrazione.
